A long time décrié for its integration “forced” with Windows
XP, its heaviness or its absence of opening on other formats,
Windows Media Player carries on nevertheless its way.
Version 10 brought an interface already clearer than the gas
works of the preceding versions and encoding MP3 out of
standard (paying before). The next version 11, whose
Microsoft publishes the first version beta today, promises
some interesting innovations. The interface, first of all,
underwent a new face lift. If the black of this version for
Windows XP is less attractive than the transparent Vista
version, the whole is clearer and ventilated: the small
buttons strewn on the interface, marks of factory of Windows
Media Player, are fewer and the read unit way iTunes (button
